The A.T.A. method
The A.T.A. method focuses on acquiring reading and writing skills through global patterns. It is designed for individuals with autism who are medium-to-low functioning, nonverbal or partially verbal, aged 6 and up, who have begun their schooling.
The family as part of the process
The lessons at the center are conducted in the presence and in cooperation with family members, to enable continued learning and typing at home, with family members.
Advantages of the iPad
The method uses an iPad,
A well-known and preferred tool among the population
ASD, which encourages motivation for learning. The iPad allows for mobility and convenience, so students can type and communicate in different environments.
How does it work?
During the lessons, the student's existing vocabulary is revealed.
and expanded by typing on the iPad.
This process allows students to
Develop a broad dialogue with those around you
them, and communicate more clearly.
